There are different types of tubular mask elastic (round cross section) and flat elastic (square cross section) in the production of masks. The shape of cross section has no effect on determining the application of mask elastic and or the superiority of one elastic to other types of mask elastics. Observing and considering some conditions and features are important in purchasing mask elastic.
Some of the conditions and features of mask elastics:
- Comfort: all types of mask elastic must have a soft cover not to cause discomfort and scratch when touching face and neck skin. Moreover, using mask elastics without cover causes head hair sticking or tying with mask elastic. This will cause unhappiness and problems for the user through time.
- Durability and Stability: masks are used in spatial and temporal conditions facing with contaminants and pathogenic reasons. Therefore, different types of mask elastic used in fabricating and producing masks have to be durable enough to be able to be durable and stable enough against working hard conditions and longtime activity whether at home and at work and in hospital and especially in emergencies.
- Elasticity: mask elastic types must have enough tensile strength and elasticity to always attach to face to protect user against environmental pollutants or microbes.
